NOT SURE IF I LIKE THESE BETTER THAN THE LAST COLLECTION...NEW DIET BUTCHERS...

We give you a first look at the upcoming Diet Butcher Slim Skin Fall/Winter 2009 Sneakers. The brand has turned quite some heads in previous seasons with their high tops, for later this year they are introducing a new version of their flagship high top. Similar to sneakers that we have seen from Kris van Aasche and Raf Simons recently, Diet Butcher Slim Skin chose to use long velcro straps on the upper. The Velcro High Top comes in both black and grey and will be released later this summer.

Unisex Shoe of the Month April 2012- Christian Louboutin “Louis Trash” Sneakers

Shoe of the Month Mens: April 2012 AIR JORDAN 12 PLAYOFFS

With three releases of the sneaker Michael Jordan famously wore to capture his fourth ring set to drop next year it looks like Jordan Brand are ready to put the 12 into 2012! Following up from the previewed obsidian and Bulls colourways comes our first look at the playoff retro. With its white sole and mudguard complimented by the black 'rising sun' upper, this is probably the easiest wear of the three options. You can score an advance sample now at Marquee Sole or hold out for the official release in the year ahead

Album of The Month November 2011- Drake "Take Care"

If I had to sum up Take Care in one word, I would say its growth. If theres one thing that Drake has shown us since he came into the rap game, its that he is, if nothing else, consistant. He has a formula: Rap a lot, sing a little, do a hook here and there, and bam, you've got Drake's whole catalogue in less that one sentence. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, and in the case of Take Care, Drake seems to focus more on perfecting his forumla rather than expanding it, while still showing us that he's gotten better.

MIXTAPE OF THE MONTH-September 2011- Future - "Streetz is Callin"

Another Classic under the Belt of the hottest artist in the Country right now. This dude is so on fire he is starting to make this look like Gucci Mane reincarnated again with a whole new "lingo" and wordplay. Although not a lyricist by any means, Future has the rhaspyness and alertness in his voice to wake a mid eastern village! His beat selection is perhaps the best I have seen since the old Gucci Mane as well. I dont know what it is but when your hot ...you ARE HOT! & this dude has it right now. If you cant see that then you are a getwit just like the rest of them. Here at Cartel Living we listen to artist earlier on and love them and watch 2 years later the world loves them...& beleive me Young Future aint no different. "AINT NO WAAYYYY AROUNNND THATTTT"

CaRtEl LiViNg Quote of the Month: Big K.R.I.T. – “Dreamin”

Big K.R.I.T. – “Dreamin”
K.R.I.T.’s third verse:

“I told them “call me K.R.I.T.”
They told me change my name,
Don’t be alarmed if you don’t make it, that’s just part of the game,
Besides I ain’t rap about dope, nor did I sell it,
I guess the story of a country boy just ain’t compelling,
A&Rs searching for a hit, I just need a meal,
Couldn’t afford to pay the rent but passed up on a deal,
Cause it wasn’t right, sometimes you got to wait the storm,
In a class of my own, but I was scared to raise my arm,
Like, this my dream, this my life, I sacrifice it all,
Except my soul, and a firm belief there is a God,
Watchin out when all the others used to doubt,
Felt my pain and pointed down and said son your time is now,
I think my grandma pulled some strings on the low,
But that’s between her and the lord, I’ll never know,
For those that caught me in the Spin and complex magazine,
XXL, the Vibe, and whatever in between,
It’s safe to say that dreams come true I guess,
Don’t let nobody tell ya, try it for yourself,
Just know that I was once considered just a dreamer,
But I paid my dues and turned so many doubters into believers,
They used to say.”
