Slim Thug I Represent This 2 (10 Years Later)

When I was a young Lad one of the first artist from Texas I listened to was Slim Thug...One of My first chopped and screwed cds I ever owned was I Represent This ....Two days ago was the 10 Year Anniversary of that Classiv Mixtape. To Honor that mixtape Slim Thug Has Dropped "I Represent This Part 2". The First one was simply genuis in my opinion. The beats he rapped on was crazy. Whats even crazier is that he has been rapping for about 14 years or so and still has his name out here and a new album March 24th..."Boss of All Bosses"...Respect the South!!!

Album of The Month November 2011- Drake "Take Care"

If I had to sum up Take Care in one word, I would say its growth. If theres one thing that Drake has shown us since he came into the rap game, its that he is, if nothing else, consistant. He has a formula: Rap a lot, sing a little, do a hook here and there, and bam, you've got Drake's whole catalogue in less that one sentence. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, and in the case of Take Care, Drake seems to focus more on perfecting his forumla rather than expanding it, while still showing us that he's gotten better.

Another Classic under the Belt of the hottest artist in the Country right now. This dude is so on fire he is starting to make this look like Gucci Mane reincarnated again with a whole new "lingo" and wordplay. Although not a lyricist by any means, Future has the rhaspyness and alertness in his voice to wake a mid eastern village! His beat selection is perhaps the best I have seen since the old Gucci Mane as well. I dont know what it is but when your hot ...you ARE HOT! & this dude has it right now. If you cant see that then you are a getwit just like the rest of them. Here at Cartel Living we listen to artist earlier on and love them and watch 2 years later the world loves them...& beleive me Young Future aint no different. "AINT NO WAAYYYY AROUNNND THATTTT"
