Nash Money x Lacoste Bravington

UK designer Nash Money is up to his next sneaker project. After having worked with DC Shoes previously, he now got together with Lacoste on the mid top Bravington model.
“Nash was inspired by the suave and sophisticated heritage of Lacoste and wanted to create something that stayed faithful to this design ethos of the brand. The result is an unmistakably Lacoste shoe that is imbued with Nash identity. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s heritage in yachting, this all-new high-top blends classic Lacoste characteristics with signature Nash design elements including a moccasin cross stitch, hidden laces and fat perforations in the leather.

Premium materials have been utilized on the uppers which merge panels of nubuck, suede, mesh and full-grain leather. Nash’s signature is embossed in the suede panels at the top of the laces. A clean overall effect has been created, yet with attention to detail that makes it a truly luxurious sneaker. White and blue versions launch in July, with two more designs to be unveiled in November.”

The first two sneakers from the collaboration will drop in July, with two more to follow later this year.

Nike Air 1/2 Cent Cranberry & Eggplant...I hate These...1/2 Period Suck in my Opinion.

2010 is seemingly shaping up to be a monumental year for Nike Penny fans. We’ve caught wind of plans to release sneakers such as an eggplant Nike Air Penny III and both the pearl and royal blue Nike Air Foamposite One. Perhaps you’re wondering what happened to the Nike Air 1/2 Cent. Well, wonder no more. Releasing during the 2010 holiday season will be two new pairs of the Nike Air 1/2 Cent that are both pictured here- cranberry and eggplant. Other than the seasonal approximation, no concreate release date is yet known for either pair but rest assured we’ll pass along any developing news once available. Which one of these two Nike Air 1/2 Cent colorways would you say looks better than the other?

DC x Lemar And Dauley Admiral Shoe

For their second collaboration with DC, Lemar and Dauley got inspired by regatta sailboats and tricked out two colorways of the Admiral high-top. The Brooklyn crew paid attention to the materials used on sails and set out to create a shoe that would marry the swagger of a city kid placed in a beach setting. Design cues like a metal plate embossed with braille, and reflective tape were incorporated to represent “touch and sight, both of which are necessary human senses when in the water.” Right. Whether you’re psyched on the back story or not, breaking these out during spring time would be a good look. Check for the sneakers to drop at DC Life accounts on February 1.

DC Shoes x Ssur Collaborations

The fine people at DC Shoes have collaborated with Russian born, New York-based artist Ssur several times in the past, and they like what they’ve seen - so both parties have teamed up again to bring us these outdoors-themed sneakers. With one pair featuring camouflage colour ways, and the other featuring earth-toned colour ways with orange highlights, these sneakers wouldn’t be out of place on a camping trip.

Jun Watanabe Shoes..

Japanese graphic designer Jun Watanabe is featured on one of Ubiq’s favorite models, the Fatima.

While the shoe is predominately black, various bits of color help make the shoe pop primarily along the heel and behind the Fatima’s trademark flap.

DC tattoo art...

Miami Ink’s Darren Brass collabs with DC shoes. From what I understand, he created two visually stimulating versions of the Manteca with DC Shoes. Inspired by themes of fruit, the Grapes of Wrath and Peach Basket both take literal interpretations of the concepts. However, I'm not completely sold on these, not really my style... Available now at Schuh if you are..

Interesting Lookbooks...

In the last couple of weeks we have shown you lookbooks from The Hundreads, Crooks, and some others as well. The common theme I am seeing this year is ...do what isnt normal! And that is great news for the Cartel Living staff. We strive on being different at all times.

This Time...HOT MODELZ FROM KIKSTYO!!!
KIKS TYO moves away from the average lookbook or catalog to showcase some of their upcoming pieces from their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, instead they chose to give all of us a look via a couple YouTube videos instead. While KIKS TYO made a name for themselves via the collaboration t-shirts featuring Aki Hoshino wearing various types of limited Nike’s and Jordan’s this upcoming season will feature a few new girls from the group Shanadoo, a Japanese Eurodance group. In addition to video footage of the photo shoot with the girls from Shannadoo we also see some of the graphics used for this upcoming season’s pieces, and it seems that KIKS TYO has not deviated from their key inspiration points of basketball, sneakers, and hip-hop culture.

Reebok “FLASH” Pop-Up Store - NYC

Reebok has recently opened their New York City pop-up store they call “FLASH”. The store features items you may expect to find in such a temporary store, like limited kicks and clothing. What differentiates FLASH from pop-up stores we typically see is the thoughtfulness Reebok has put into the project. First off, the store takes up a whopping 3000 square feet of space. This generous space is not just a vacant store-front, but the CVZ Contemporary art gallery, which was founded in 2004 in order to help launch and promote emerging NYC artists.

Furthermore, the entire store pays homage to it’s host city’s cultural history, with 1980’s inspired, urban decor as well as similarly inspired goods. So far we have seen two Reebok shoes exclusive to FLASH, that have been inspired by beer, ATMs and taxis, all three being items you can’t be in NYC without seeing. In the month the store will be open, there will be weekly, themed exclusives as well as an array of products that will remain unchanged throughout FLASH’s duration. The store will be open until December 15th, so if you are in the city, be sure to check it out.

ILL... Etnies’ ‘22′ Collection

Early next week, Colette will drop the Vent Deux, or “22″ Collection, a series of sneakers designed by the owner of etnies, Pierre Andre Senizergues. The name is a reference to the French version of “5-0,” a.k.a. the thing you yell when there are cops coming. So if you’re skating in France, or if you hear the hip-hop police coming and you’re in Paris, it’s “Vent-Deux.”

Tasty! Nike Dunk and Nike Air Max Made of Fruit

Defill and Milcke have collaborated to bring us Nike’s Made of Fruit. This is one of the craziest things I have ever seen! Talk about getting creative, and I thought I was cool because I was about to carve some AJ III’s in my pumpkin for halloween. The Air Max One and the Nike Dunk are the two versions of these fruit based shoes.

Best Halloween Shoe?

One of the more playful sneakers in our Best Halloween Shoes takes the 2nd position. The Papa Bear Dunk High SB was released in 2006 in a collaboration with Medicom which also featured the Mama Bear Dunk Mid SB and Baby Bear Dunk Low SB in the 3 Bears Pack. The Papa Bear Dunk High is made up of fur and leather on upper with a light umber and hot house color-way. On the inside of the sneaker you can find the Bearbrick version of this sneaker and special packaging for the inside of the box. Good luck finding these elsewhere because they immediately sold out upon release.

Based off one of the most classic Halloween characters Frankenstein is used as the main source of inspiration for this Nike Air Force 1 released this time two years ago. The sneakers appear in a familiar Halloween Air Force 1 format, patent leather being paired with designs tying into Halloween, this time around its Frankenstein’s colors and stitching on the toe and heel. We have chosen the Frankenstein to be the 7th best Halloween shoe, but stay tuned to find out what other sneakers made the cut

Then Alife...(2 Styles) Same Cut

features leather uppers with screened insect print detailing, leather inner lining, and an extra set of laces.

OK THESE ARE MY TOP 4 HALOWEEN SHOES. As you can see im partially biased because I own a pair or two of these and also I love Alife alot so...What do you think is better? You got a better choice then me then show me please!!! WHAT IS #5?
