Nike to Increase Prices & Cutback On Boxes

Due to the rising costs of cotton, oil and transportation, Nike will reportedly increase prices on each and every one of their sneaker models. Aside from the price increases, Nike will also cut back on the amount of cardboard it uses for every sneaker box they produce. Check out a sample of what the new sneaker box will look like.

The news caused Nike share price to drop sharply.

Nike: Air Foamposite One Metallic Pewter

The satiny matte finished upper perfectly resembling the metal from which they get their name. These are scheduled to hit retailers in Spring 2011 along with the OGs, and just as is the case with that already iconic colorway, these joints are inevitably going to pop up early from select retailers.
