Detailed look at our favorite items from the new Swarovski x colette capsule collection. The Parisian store once again did an excellent job curating a great line-up of product for the pop-up store. Included in the line-up are adidas J Wings Sneakers by Jeremy Scott, a 400% Bearbrick by Medicom and a skull sculpture by Fabien Baron. Unfortunately these pieces do not come cheap – the sneaker goes for 2′500 Euros, the skull for 1′000 Euros and the Bearbrick for 15′000 Euros.

Infinite Hope by Quinn Gregory, made from 250,000 Swarovski crystals.
"'Infinite Hope' is a sculpture I made primarily of wood, foam and crystals. Through research, I learned that Jesus was 5'3' tall (which made him actually a tall Jewish man at that time). I used cooper tubing to make his 5'3'' skeleton and then built from there. After sealing the sculpture, I utilized a metallic paint to give Jesus a metal look (thus avoiding the weight of a metal sculpture- while achieving the look I desired). The actual sculpting portion of this work took 4 1/2 months to complete. I then spent the past 10 months encrusting Jesus with almost 250,000 Swarovski crystals. "

The Paris based tradeshow played host to new furniture by Tord Boonjte and Scénes d’intérieur Designer 2009 winner Vincent van Duysen. As you’d expect from the collection, everything was designed utilizing Swarovski in one way or another - so prices are of the ‘if you need to ask, you can’t afford them’ variety.
