New Hundreds...

The Hundreds offer a glimpse into their 2008 holiday collection of New Era fitted hats. Many of the themes are dominated by The Hundreds’ familiar Adam Bomb logo seen over a number of different motifs. The designs include the 2-tone Adam Bomb, Blame Takers, Square Adam and Faded Adam. Available starting Friday, November 28th at 11:00 am (after their Black Friday sale).

Save the Children with Bvlgari...

For their 125th anniversary, fashion house Bulgari has set a goal of raising €10 million EUR (approximately $13 million USD) for the Save the Children foundation. The silver ring features an engraved Bulgari logo on the outside with a “Save the Children” engraving seen within. Twenty percent of the sale of each ring will be donated to Save the Children foundation. The ring will go on sale starting February 1st 2009 till December 31st, 2009 at Bulgari stores around the world. A retail price should hover around $375 USD.

Frame Game....A step up..

Bring some life and personality to the classic Wayfarers, 36-year old artist Chris Mendoza will be working with Ray Ban for the limited-edition Sunglass Hut Art Series. The drawing inspirations come from Mendoza’s Nicaraguan roots featuring primitive, abstract shapes and eighties-style graffiti. Available in black, red and white, only 100 of these will be available in each color and will retail for $250. While it may be steep for a pair of Wayfarers, keep in mind that these are very limited and that 25% of the proceeds will be going towards the Giving the Gift of Sight organization. Available exclusively at Sunglass Hut .

Louis V's fused with Marc Jacobs...

In admiration of late fashion designer Stephen Sprouse, Louis Vuitton’s creative director Marc Jacobs will be revisiting his previous 2001 collaboration with Sprouse as inspiration for a 2009 collection. The new looks of accessories and ready-to-wear garments combine Sprouse-styled graffiti and rose motifs alongside Jacobs designs of course. Coming soon.

Play Cloths..Im Late Posting I Know...

We’ve heard plenty about the debut clothing line from the Virginia Beach duo, The Clipse, and now Play Cloths has finally debuted at select boutiques and retailers across the United States. The clothing line is based on the idea of creating high quality pieces of clothing that are adaptable to any lifestyle. In addition to Play Cloths hitting retailers in the US this weekend, the Play Cloths website was finally launched as well which includes a nice layout that requires users to download Flash if you don’t have it. In addition to the main site that showcases the line, various pieces of press, and an “About Us” section the website also has an online store that has released the online exclusive “80’s Jack” tee featuring an 80’s mosaic for the Jack logo background. In the last couple of weeks we have shown you lookbooks from The Hundreads, Crooks, and some others as well. The common theme I am seeing this year is ...do what isnt normal! And that is great news for the Cartel Living staff. We strive on being different at all times.

This Time...HOT MODELZ FROM KIKSTYO!!!
KIKS TYO moves away from the average lookbook or catalog to showcase some of their upcoming pieces from their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, instead they chose to give all of us a look via a couple YouTube videos instead. While KIKS TYO made a name for themselves via the collaboration t-shirts featuring Aki Hoshino wearing various types of limited Nike’s and Jordan’s this upcoming season will feature a few new girls from the group Shanadoo, a Japanese Eurodance group. In addition to video footage of the photo shoot with the girls from Shannadoo we also see some of the graphics used for this upcoming season’s pieces, and it seems that KIKS TYO has not deviated from their key inspiration points of basketball, sneakers, and hip-hop culture.

BBC ICE CREAM CELEBRATES BLACK FRIDAY!!!

It was just a year ago when BBC/Ice Cream opened it’s doors up here in New York City and now a year later Pharrell and the rest of the BBC/Ice Cream team will be celebrating the one year anniversary of the NYC Flagship Store via a number of special products including this BBC “NYC” t-shirt that features a similar logo to the very first BBC t-shirts that never quite made it to retail. The BBC New York City t-shirt is exclusive to the NYC Flagship Store and will be available tomorrow, Black Friday, November 28th, 2008 at BBC/Ice Cream.
