Spyker - C8 Aileron Spyder

Every year, car makers all over the world debut their new models that are bound to become instant classics at the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance. This year, while we had previously introduced several cars including the new Porsche four-door Panamera and the Transformer “Barricade” Saleen, we have a new four-wheel beast that we will dream about driving from the car show.

Dutch performance car company, Spyker, had just released a the baronial C8 Aileron Spyder at the car show. This latest supercar is currently a prototype featuring a semi0automatic canvas retractable roof and a slamming Audi 4.2L V8 engine that will go into production next year. Courtesy of Audi, the retro-future ride with a plus red leather interior that is semi-reminiscent of a fifties diner races at a whooping 400HP and tops out a 187MPH. It speeds from zero to 60 in a mere 4.5 seconds, rather inconceivable from the operatic vintage exterior.

The best part we love about the car aside from its performance on road and ability to put other rides out there to shame– the inscription of “Nulla Tenaci Invia Est Via” which means “For the tenacious, no road is impossible”. Even if these weren’t printed in black and white on the car, we would still believe no road is impossible for the C8 Aileron Spyder. Sadly, the exact release information isn’t available at this time, but it should be available as the launch date nears.
