Takashi Murakami Retrospective at Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

Louis Vuitton announces the retrospective exhibition of masterpieces created by artist Takashi Murakami at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain from February 17th to May 31st 2009.

About the Exhibition

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao will present ©MURAKAMI, the most comprehensive retrospective to date of the works of Takashi Murakami. The exhibition will feature more than 90 artworks in various media including painting, sculpture, installation, and film. Included will be iconic works that track the ongoing evolution of Murakami's anime alter ego DOB, his otaku-inspired figure projects of the late ‘90s, an archive of licensed Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. merchandise that spans Takashi Murakami's entire career, and a retrospective of his creations for Louis Vuitton since 2003.

Album of The Month November 2011- Drake "Take Care"

If I had to sum up Take Care in one word, I would say its growth. If theres one thing that Drake has shown us since he came into the rap game, its that he is, if nothing else, consistant. He has a formula: Rap a lot, sing a little, do a hook here and there, and bam, you've got Drake's whole catalogue in less that one sentence. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, and in the case of Take Care, Drake seems to focus more on perfecting his forumla rather than expanding it, while still showing us that he's gotten better.

MIXTAPE OF THE MONTH-September 2011- Future - "Streetz is Callin"

Another Classic under the Belt of the hottest artist in the Country right now. This dude is so on fire he is starting to make this look like Gucci Mane reincarnated again with a whole new "lingo" and wordplay. Although not a lyricist by any means, Future has the rhaspyness and alertness in his voice to wake a mid eastern village! His beat selection is perhaps the best I have seen since the old Gucci Mane as well. I dont know what it is but when your hot ...you ARE HOT! & this dude has it right now. If you cant see that then you are a getwit just like the rest of them. Here at Cartel Living we listen to artist earlier on and love them and watch 2 years later the world loves them...& beleive me Young Future aint no different. "AINT NO WAAYYYY AROUNNND THATTTT"
