Max B Receives Appeal on Murder Conviction
Incarcerated rapper Max B (Charly Wingate) has been granted an appeal on a robbery and murder conviction last September that sentenced him to 75 years in prison. Max’s manager Joli O’Shay released a statement advising that her client is going to exhaust all available options to overturn the verdict.
According to French Montana, a close friend of Max B.'s, the incarcerated rapper is keeping his spirits high.
"He [is] hanging in there," French Montana told AllHipHop.com. "You know the judge just gave him a date. He about to give him a date to go back to court, so keep prayers up, that’s all you can do. They try to sabotage rappers. You know it is what it is man. Free Max B!"

Max B got a shoe? Call us crazy but the name ‘Max Wavy’ just evokes the thought of the jailed Maxxyy... Regardless these shoes are pretty damn ‘wavy’. Looks like in terms of new releases next year Nike will be making some strides in the right direction when it comes to the basketball department. This shoe incorporates some of Nikes more popular designs and will be priced in the $80 range. Can’t wait to see what other color ways they offer. Via NT

MAX B FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER!!! Sentencing NexT Month!!
Harlem rapper Max B has reportedly been found guilty on multiple felony murder conspiracy charges stemming from a 2006 robbery that left one man dead.
Max B, real name Charly Wingate, was the alleged mastermind behind a $30,000 heist targeting two men in 2006.
Wingate is accused of conspiring with his step brother Kelvin Leerdam, and his girlfriend Gina Conway.
Conway served as the prosecution’s secret weapon in the case, testifying against the rapper in exchange for a shorter sentence.
Conway testified that she told Wingate of David Taylor and Allan "Jay" Plowden's flashy life style--making them the perfect targets.
Plowden and Taylor were robbed of over $30,000 worth of cash and personal effects in a Fort Lee hotel on September 22, 2006.
During the botched robbery Plowden was bound with duct tape, and Taylor was killed by a gunshot to the head.
A guilty verdict was announced moments ago.
Wingate along with his step brother, were found guilty of 9 out of 11 counts including felony murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit murder. Wingate was reportedly detained immediately.
His sentencing date is set for July 30, 2009.
