BERTI is a robot designed by the Bristol Robotics Laboratory and Elumotion Ltd. to perform conversational gestures. BERTI is programmed to emulate us mere mortals by using gestures while communicating so that we can feel comfortable when it along with its friends are around.
In the attached video one can see Mr. BERTI at London Science Museum playing rock, paper and scissors with a human who’s wearing a gesture detecting glove. As of now BERTI can only do hand gestures but hopefully it’ll soon be able to do full body gestures too.
