Dont know how I missed this one...but I shouldve blogged this a couple of days ago...FIRST OF ALL FUCK SHAWTY LO AND SOULJA BOY COMMERCIAL ASS...we dont condone that type of music here on Cartel Living...there is a difference, beleive it or Guci Haters. Im not even a big fan of O.J right now either but at least he doesnt make sucky music 100% of the time....THE BIG ISSUE HERE IS GUCCI MANE FUCKING LA FLARE .....YAW THINK this is a joke or something...go on any website right now for the last three years and you tell me besides Wayne who get more downloads? Tell me who make the best Individual mixtapes (not made up joints...)? who get more money for a show anywhere in country right now? Now befoRe you hate and say "all this is what is wrong with hip hop" maybe you need to look in the mirror...this SHIT IS IT RIGHT NOW AND BEEN IT FOR THE LAST 6 OR 7 YEARS! NOW YAW CAN START GETTING USED TO IT...AWARDS SHOWS NEXT! KEEP SLEEPING AND GUCCI GONNA WAKE YAW ALL ASSES UP REAL QUICK.. THERE IS A NEW KING OF THE STREETS OUT HERE...LOOK AT EM BITCH!

Album of The Month November 2011- Drake "Take Care"

If I had to sum up Take Care in one word, I would say its growth. If theres one thing that Drake has shown us since he came into the rap game, its that he is, if nothing else, consistant. He has a formula: Rap a lot, sing a little, do a hook here and there, and bam, you've got Drake's whole catalogue in less that one sentence. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, and in the case of Take Care, Drake seems to focus more on perfecting his forumla rather than expanding it, while still showing us that he's gotten better.

MIXTAPE OF THE MONTH-September 2011- Future - "Streetz is Callin"

Another Classic under the Belt of the hottest artist in the Country right now. This dude is so on fire he is starting to make this look like Gucci Mane reincarnated again with a whole new "lingo" and wordplay. Although not a lyricist by any means, Future has the rhaspyness and alertness in his voice to wake a mid eastern village! His beat selection is perhaps the best I have seen since the old Gucci Mane as well. I dont know what it is but when your hot ...you ARE HOT! & this dude has it right now. If you cant see that then you are a getwit just like the rest of them. Here at Cartel Living we listen to artist earlier on and love them and watch 2 years later the world loves them...& beleive me Young Future aint no different. "AINT NO WAAYYYY AROUNNND THATTTT"
